Geometry

Geometry Explorer - Introduction

Description:

This is an introduction to geometry - it provides one example of 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 sided objects. Some of these objects are regular and some are not, and therefore there is a good selection of 3D symmetry examples. There are also two examples of 5 sided objects for comparison, and an example of sub objects (the 8 sided object can be thought of as two 4 sided objects stuck togeather. When each object is touched by the information paddle, it is shown in wireframe mode, and the final version of this draft module will show useful information on each object.

We have developed a wide variety of other geometry modules (Dodecahedra, Regular Geometry, Multifaceted Geometry, 3D Stars, Tetrahedra transformations, Cube to Octahedron transformations, Dodec to Icosahedron transformations and how a plane intersecting a cone makes an elipse). We can release some or all of these modules if requested, otherwise we will wait until we have feedback on this introductory geometry module.
